The first born of the Sabaku family - founders of the multi-million dollar import and export company under their name, Temari was born with a lot of silverware in her mouth. She grew up extremely privileged and, after her mother died, was spoilt rather than loved.
A naturally gifted child, Temari sailed through school with top grades and extra-curriculum awards, She even began planning her future at a top league college; a 4 year business degree, so she could take over the family corporation and spend a good few years living the student life.

Until her father dropped the bombshell. He wasn’t paying for it.

Having grown tired of their attitudes and leeching, Mr. Sabaku had decided it was time for his children to learn the value of money, and earn their own for a change.

Temari’s tantrum could be heard 2 blocks away. Her fathers decision was poorly timed in regards to her plans. Regardless her little hissy fit did little to change his mind and less than a week later she was lounging on the couch whining as her fathers PA, Baki, read out the job advertisements in the local paper. She eventually filled out an application for Konoha Mart, concluding that any work place that had hired both her brothers and so far fired neither had to be the sort of place where she could run her attitude as usual and get paid for it.

The job isn’t so bad, she works in the Wine shop of the Mart, although many variations of alcohol are sold there. Busy hours are usually within the last few hours of closing time, so Temari spends most of the day either selling to alcoholics, joy riding with her brother in the trolleys or tormenting the other workers to ease her boredom.

Personality-wise, Temari is a wild child at heart. Full of energy and wit she will always be first to pass a cheeky joke or smartass comment. She is very blunt and never minces her words. Temari has very little tact when dealing with other people, which makes her quite a difficult person to deal with when she’s behind her counter.
She also has a very quick temper and is prone to aggression, tantrums and violence when she doesn’t get her own way. But past her bubbly yet temperamental nature she is a mature and sensible girl who is devoted to her two brothers Kankurou and Gaara…although she’ll never show it.

As for college, Temari would be a little closer to going if she didn’t keep spending her pay check. So far she has learned very little of her fathers lesson.
